Christmas Shopping Londen!

Christmas Shopping Londen!

I have been asked to guide ‘Christmas Shopping London’ this weekend. Of course I said yes.

Firstly I love London. And secondly, I cannot think of a better way to start the holiday shopping season!

Why shop for Christmas in Londen?

It is a must to see London during the holiday season, especially at Christmas time.

You should prepare yourself for a very crowded city, which is not very easy to commute, but understandable. Around christmas, London is one of the most beautiful decorated metropolitan cities is the world. It can give you the feeling of stepping into a ‘Winterwonderland’ full of red ribbons, candy-cones and decoration lights.

Still need to buy some christmas gifts for family or friends? No need to worry here. You can find almost everything in all the different shops. The only thing you need, is a fully stocked wallet.

U can choose to visit Oxford & Regent-Street. Here you will find all the known brands, like H&M, Zara, Adidas, ESPRIT, New Look, Top Shop, Urban Outfitters, Apple Store, Abecrombie & Fitch,…

Are you perhaps looking for ‘PRIMARK’? You cannot miss it. There is a store on each end of Oxford Street. So if you take a left of right, it doesn’t matter. You will find Primark, or it will find you. Please be aware these stores are extremely crowded. Do not be alarmed when you reach the massive cue at the cash register. The store has a well organized system which reduces the waiting-time.

Are you looking for some Unique boutiques? Take one of the side-streets on Piccadilly Circus or Regent Street and go towards Carnaby Street or visit the boutiques at Covent Garden & shoreditch High Street.

Looking for something completely different, alternative of vintage? Take a peak at the alternative markets of Camden Lock or Spitalfields.

harrods

The ones looking for designer-stores should take a stroll along Bond Street and New Bond Street.

But Don’t forget to visit Harrods! It is extremely expensive, but it’s very much worth a visit. This luxurious warehouse is decorated into perfection for christmastime. You can find make-up, designer clothes, shoes, accessories, souvenirs and lots more. Next to those articles, you should take a look at the food-court which not only is filled with delicious food and sweets, but has an interesting architectural design. When you take the main escalator down at the Egyptian hall, you will find the famous statue of Princes Diana & Prince Charles.

London is possible to visit by plane (5 airports in London!), boat (via Calais, France) and train (Eurostar Tunnel).

PS: Don’t forget the currency in London is the Great British Pound. Always check the latest exchange-rates.

I wish you a nice shopping time in London!
